Niklas Baarli is completely helpless when it comes to practical work. Dad Lars Baarli is a retired firefighter, and very practical. Now Lars will teach Niklas to be more handy. Along the way, father and son get closer to each other, and they get to know each other again.

Lars wants to show Niklas the value of maintenance, and they travel to the holiday home in Spain to do incidental work there. There they also get to talk about painful events in Niklas's childhood.
