Big League Baseball World Series

2014 will be the 8th consecutive year that ESPN has televised the championship game of the "Big League Baseball World Series". This year the series began on 23 July in Easley, South Carolina. This year over a 8-day period there will be a total of 25 games played. The ages of the youths that will be participating must be between 15 and 18. This tournament originally began in 1968 and normally there is a total of 11 teams that participate. This World Series is not limited to just teams from North America. The countries that have also participated in previous years include Canada, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Taiwan & Venezuela. Taiwan has the most overall championships with 17 and they are followed by teams from South Carolina that have won a total of 7 championships to include the most recent one in 2013.
