China's Next Top Model

“China's Next Top Model” also sometimes called “Fashion Star” is a Chinese reality TV series based on the original U.S. version of the show, “America's Next Top Model” created by actress and supermodel Tyra Banks. This show is produced by Chinese television subscription channel Sichuan Satellite TV and it is filmed in Shanghai, China the casting for the very first season also called cycle was held in Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shanghai.

The 1st season of the show was seen weekly on Sunday nights at 10:30PM and was hosted by Chinese supermodel Li Ai. It aired 10 episodes from 13 January to 23 March 2008 and there were 12 contestants competing out of an original 5,000 plus applicants for the huge grand prize.
