This mini-series starring, written and created by Jimmy Nail (of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and Spender fame) follows Jed Shepperd (Nail), a Geordie who dreams of being a country and western singer. Jed works at the shipyards in Newcastle and he writes his own country music in his spare time. He makes cassettes for his friends and family to listen to and they all love them. Emma, his sister sends some of the cassettes off to several record companies in London. One particular company likes the music and Adrian Lynn becomes Jed's new manager. Jed enjoys fame and fortune as a singer and a celebrity and then packs it all in after accidentally killing drug dealer Snotter. But after hearing his song on the radio he starts plans for a second album.
Make way for Crocodile Shoes II. This second series sees Adrian finally meet his grissly end, and Jed is accused of murdering him and desperately attempts to clear his name.
