Dale Jr. - Shifting Gears follows racing star Dale Jr. Earnhardt as he branches out into a new career. He will change from his late father's team, Dale Earnhardt Inc., to a new team, Hendrick Motorsports. Viewers will get a behind-the-scenes peak at Dale's progress and see how he deals with new challenges. Earnhardt called this, "the biggest career decision I've ever made."
This is a five-part series, with the first three episodes airing on ESPN2, and the last two airing on ESPN.
