Extreme Archaeology is a British documentary from 2004 in which a team of young diggers, led by Dr. Mark Davies, travel all over Britain for excavations. The show especially focuses on tough digs and hard to reach places. In one episode, they travel to the Roman Bridge in the Wye Valley that is being eaten away by weather. In another episode, they travel to the Kame of Isbister, one of the hardest to reach places in the entire United Kingdom. Again they are seeking to date the site and to gather as much as information as they can before ongoing deterioration causes the site to be lost to history. In yet another show, they explore tunnels underneath a castle in Scotland. Radar imaging helps them to reconstruct what the site must have once looked like. Mysterious remains suggest a possible history of brutality and cannibalism. The deepest secrets of history are finally brought to light by Extreme Archaeology.
