A series of shows featuring Frankie Howerd entertaining audiences from the stages of various locations (on board the aircraft carrier the Ark Royal in Frankie's On Board, amid a Nottinghamshire mining community in Frankie's On The Coals, at a Gloucestershire fire station in Frankie's On Fire and at a medical centre in Nottingham in Frankie's On Call). Six programmes were planned but only these four were made before Howerd's death.
