An icebreaker is stranded in a winter storm during the longest, darkest Solstice night. Coast Guard Sanna Tanner leads the rescue team haunted by disturbing events. Sanna races to solve the mystery before she becomes the next target.

The crew attempts to fix the icebreaker's engine, with disastrous consequences. Something keeps attacking them. With no other options, they must evacuate across the ice. There, Sanna encounters someone who should be dead, and an invisible force pulls a crew member into the fog.
