Maria Flordeluna

“Maria Flordeluna” is based on a very popular Filipino radio series that was broadcast in the 1970’s entitled “Flordeluna”. The series next came to the small screen on local Philippines channel RPN-9 in 1985 titled “Flor de Liza”. It starred child actresses Janice de Belen and Julie Vega who died of broncho-pneumonia just 15 days shy of her 17th birthday. This story follows 11-year old Maria Flordeluna Alicante who is played by the very talented child actress Eliza Pineda. Maria attempts to bring her family together through many trying times and some adversity.
