Mitten im Leben! is a German scripted reality series that follows people in their everyday life and shows conflicts and crucial moments.

In 2007, the network showed two pilot episodes between Christmas and the New Year. The show then took over the 4:00 PM time-slot in May 2008. In June and August of the same year RTL even showed two episodes and added the 3:00 PM time-slot to the show. This was then changed again when Mitten im Leben! replaced Die Oliver Geissen Show on August 31th, 2009.

Over time, the show has become an important program of RTL Daytime, but is also criticized as being trash-TV and took part in the network's suffering image.
