12 survivalists enter a punishing African location where tribes in the area lived by a simple principle: banish the weak. As the 40-day challenge begins, deadly crocodiles and territorial leopards circle. A survivalist is targeted for banishment.
As temperatures soar, survivalists try to hunt while being hunted themselves. At Camp Murder Puddle, the group fights off a night attack by aggressive crocodiles. A team in turmoil leads to the first self-banishment of the challenge.
After self-banishing, Kate is slammed by Africa's wrath. Desperately hungry, Bulent gets a major score with his bare hands but can Makani put aside her vegan beliefs? Wes and Gwen's first big food win goes wrong, threatening their health.
A brutal windstorm punishes the survivalists. A falling out with Bulent leads Makani to banish herself and risk going it alone. Kate finds a new group and the desperate team goes on a hunt that could make or break their challenge.
Makani desperately pushes through the broiling valley to find a new tribe. Ryan hatches a high-risk plan to get a kill. Suzanne plots her exit from Seth, but Africa's heat thwarts her plan and forces a survivalist to leave the challenge.
An unlikely alliance scores the challenge's first big-game kill. Suzänne risks her survival by banishing herself from Seth. Bulent wards off hyenas and baboons. On a two-day hunting mission, Ryan's surrounded by deadly predators.
Brutal heat punishes Suzanne as she makes a new start after leaving Seth. Barehanded Killer Bulent takes on a monitor lizard. A potential snake attack could be Seth's first African food win. A tribe plans a move that could upend the challenge.
Wes scores another kill, but when a group enters their camp, the win creates tension. A desperate Bulent migrates to Seth's watering hole. Seth is open to a partnership but Bulent remains solo and quickly gets a major food win in Seth's backyard.
Wes and team get their third big-game kill, but the victory quickly becomes an unexpected and very dangerous medical situation. A broiling heat wave pushes temperatures to 130 degrees and tests Bulent's ability to survive solo.
Desperate for food, Gwen and Sarah lead the charge to build a crossbow in the bush while Ryan feels the pressure to provide. When new wildlife moves into his camp, Bulent is pushed to the edge. Medics remove a survivalist from the challenge.
With extraction just days away, one survivalist goes against the group, is banished and must try to complete the challenge alone. Gwen and Sarah deploy crossbows as they push for one last kill. A deadly snake could end someone's challenge on Day 40.
