Nouvelle Star (formerly known in the first season as A La Recherche De La Nouvelle Star) is a French reality show that is based on the United Kingdom's Pop Idol. The show follows the same format, where French citizens audition by singing in front of a panel of judges. If they make it that far, than the nation votes on who will be the next Nouvelle Star.
