Puni Puni Poemy follows the story of a vivacious 10-year-old soon-to-be voice actress named Poemy Watanabe. She returns home from school one day to find that her family has been murdered. In order to survive, Poemy must move in with her best friend Futuba Aasu, and her sisters.

Puni Puni Poemy is filled with anime parodies concentrating on the magical girl genre. It is fast paced, random, and leaves the audience with a need to rewatch the show in slow-motion just to comprehend what is going on.
