“Ramdam” is a Canadian Comedy TV series shown Monday through Thursday night at 6:30 PM and is 30 minutes long. Repeats of the show air at Midnight Tuesday through Friday. The series began in September 2001 and has become one of the most popular shows in the province of Quebec and they tape 100 episodes of the show each season. The series is about 2 families with a lot of children whose ages range from 8 to 20 years old. The show is broadcast in the French speaking language and is aimed mostly at young children and teenagers. The English translation for “Ramdam” is a “Hullabaloo”. They have already officially announced that the show will be returning for its’ 6th season in September 2006. They also have their own official website if you speak French at http://www.telequebec.tv/ramdam/index.asp and it has a section where you can view 13 short blooper reels from the series. There is also a section to read about each character in the series and from 1 to 4 pictures of the star playing the part. If you go to their website the show is listed there as “Ramdam” but if you go to the “Télé-Québec” website it is listed there as “Hullabaloo”. Their website on 31 March 2006 was nominated for an ACT (Alliance for Children and Television) award for excellence.
