Let’s get ready to rumble! Road hockey obsessed rivals Calum MacLeod and Mark McGuckin are more competitive and rambunctious than ever before in the second season of OLN’s original Canadian series, 'Road Hockey Rumble". Premiering Fri., Jan. 4 at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT, each episode of the 13-part series blends sports, comedy and travel as MacLeod and McGuckin tap into the already festering rivalries in 13 different Canadian towns from Corner Brook, Newfoundland, to Maple Ridge, British Columbia. After picking players in each community, the respective teams settle their differences over a game of road hockey. The winner gets all the beer he can drink. The loser is subject to ridiculous – and often painfully embarrassing – punishment at the hands of the winner.
The duo travelled eastward across Canada in season one, but now MacLeod and McGuckin are heading back westward across the country in season two. After discovering longstanding rivalries in each city – such as beer drinkers versus wine drinkers, or firefighters versus police officers – MacLeod and McGuckin captain each team as players duke it out in local road hockey grudge matches coast to coast. This season, watch as the penalties inflicted on MacLeod and McGuckin are more warped than ever before. From tolerating high kicks to enduring ipecac-induced vomiting, all bets are off as the loser is subject to the winner’s punishment. Cities hosting hockey matches include Corner Brook, NFLD; Tatamagouche, NS; Charlottetown, PEI ; St. Stephen, NB; Quebec City, QC; Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON; Winnipeg, MB; Rankin Inlet, NU; Moose Jaw, SK; Red Deer, AB; Yellowknife, NWT; Dawson City, YT; and Maple Ridge, BC.
