Portman will make her first foray into TV as an executive producer on the drama Scruples. Based on the Judith Krantz novel and adapted by Bob Brush and Mel Harris, the project follows a socialite in the '70s who tries to open a fashion-forward boutique in Beverly Hills after her husband dies. Tony Krantz and Annette Savitch are also on board to executive-produce.
