Lowie and Frank realize Luc's video was an announcement to his suicide. They find his car by the barn and when they look in, they see Luc hanging there. They take quick action and Tim can reanimate Luc. Lowie and Frank are totally shocked, while Julia thinks it would have been better he had died. Everyone thinks Marianne killed Geert with a paper knife. William and Hélène make a statement to the police they saw her stabbing Geert. Marianne contradicts this strongly by saying Hélène killed Geert, but Marianne was seen with the knife in her hand and not Hélène.
Lowie remembers his father saying how proud he was of him and he was never happier when he was with his son. Frank looks at Luc's suicide DVD again and breaks into tears. Julia is clearly upset, but she absolutely doesn't want to visit Luc. She's still very angry he tried to commit suicide, but wasn't successful. The doctor tells Lowie Luc's brain suffered a shortage of oxygen which could lead to brain damage, but it's not clear how much it will infect him. Marianne gives a statement to the police saying Hélène killed Geert, but all the evidence and witness statements are against her. It suddenly dawns on her Hélène and William work together. William is Henri. The police charge her with manslaughter and she's taken to the police-station. Hélène realizes she needs to get rid of her phone with the incriminating text messages from Henri.
Some feel guilty that they might have driven Luc to commit suicide, others think it's all his own fault. Julia couldn't sleep all night, but still refuses to visit Luc at the hospital. Frank does visit the hospital and learns from Lowie that Luc suffered brain damage. If he will wake up, he might be nothing more than a plant. The opinions differ if Marianne is guilty or not. Eddy is worried about the money Geert promised them for Britney. He doesn't trust Hélène will give them Geert's money.
The whole Bomans family is still affected by Luc's attempted suicide. Eddy asks Hélène about the money Geert promised them, but she's still too upset and is appalled by his question. She wants to lay Geert to rest next to his daughter. Ann finds this a very moving thought. William gives Peter a letter to give to Marianne. He says he's still behind her. Peter can't see a conspiracy between him and Hélène. Rosa and Peggy had a bad year with the B&B and decide to work together with Peter and sell Withoeve products after all. To Peter this is not enough. He wants to terminate their lease and gives them a year to move out. Femke finds this move rather drastic after they said they want to cooperate after all.
Lowie tells Julia that if Luc survives, he will need a very long rehabilitation. And he doesn't intend to stick him into some convalescent home. After she visits Luc briefly in hospital, she goes to Peter. She wants a very quick divorce and she doesn't want any of his money. Marianne is charged with murder in the first degree. Peter tries to think of a way not to get her life sentence. Ann franticly tries to clean the blood stain in the practice. Femke doesn't like it all Peter didn't confer with her first before making such an important decision. Emma gets a letter from Danny and is totally stressed out. Toon is in a bad mood after he kissed Judith yesterday. At first she kissed him back, but than she slapped him. She doesn't want a relationship with him. Bianca goes back home again. Simonne thanks Yvette for the diner she put in her fridge to help her in these difficult times.
Lowie learns about Julia wanting to divorce Luc. He's stunned. At least he won't let his father down. Frank is scared over Luc. Marianne has nightmares about Geert's murder. Geert's body is released, so Hélène can plan his cremation. It's Peggy's birthday and Renzo pretends to have forgotten. Emma still wants to go Danny's trial. Judith files an official complaint, because Danny was able to write a letter to Emma. Peter promises Femke not to make any important decisions on his own again. Renzo doesn't understand why Femke wants Peggy and Rosa out after they wanted to cooperate. Femke doesn't want to discuss it with him.
Lowie doesn't leave his father's side in the hospital. He even studies there. Frank doesn't understand why Julia wants to divorce Luc at this moment. He often had quarrels and fights with his brother, but now Luc is in a coma it feels quite differently. Femke still feels a bit guilty and visits Luc. Marianne tries to make clear to Peter it's Hélène who murdered Geert and did this together with William. She feels he doesn't believe her. The renewed Slurfke will be launched Friday and Femke asks Rosa and Peggy's cooperation. They comply, but it gives Rosa en idea to go against Peter. Peter asks Eddy to be the front of Het Slurfke this Friday. Renzo has a big surprise for Peggy's birthday. Tim and Sam went to the gynecologist. Tim is delighted they will have a girl. Sam seems less enthusiastic. Judith doesn't want Emma to go to Danny's trial, but can she stop her from going?
Lowie did well on his exam. He especially tried hard to do good for his father, but there is still no change in Luc's condition. Lowie is exhausted from all the emotions he had to undergo these last few weeks. Frank regularly visits Luc at the hospital, but he absolutely doesn't want to talk about Franky with Simonne. Tim is excited and very proud he will have a daughter. Sam is still very quite since they came back from the gynecologist. Yvette accidentally sees Sam almost drink alcohol. She just wants to warn Sam she shouldn't do things which she could regret for the rest of her life. Hélène doesn't want Nancy to speak at Geert's funeral. William tells Rosa he still has difficulties coping with Marianne being a murderer, but she's his wife and he will stand by her. Rosa en Peggy are very cooperative with Femke for the press conference about the launch of Het Slurfke tomorrow.
Lowie did well on his final exam. When he's in hospital, Luc suddenly opens his eyes. They prepare everything for the launch and the press-conference of Het Slurfke in the barn of the B&B. Julia finds it a little bit difficult to work where Luc tried to hang himself. To Peter and Femke's surprise Peggy and Rosa cooperate very well. Rosa has a plan which involves William, because she doesn't want to move in a year's time. Yvette tells Simonne Sam is acting strange. Not at all like a woman who is glad she's expecting a baby. Simonne promises to talk to her. Marianne finds life in prison hell. On Hélène's mobile is no trace of a Henri. Nobody seems to believe Marianne. Toon talks to Judith about his Stefanie who committed suicide. It's the first time he talks to anyone about her. It touches Judith.
In the future Luc will always have to rely on others. He will never walk again and maybe not even speak again due to the brain-damage. Lowie wants to rebuild his house so he can take care of his father. Frank thinks this is a great responsibility and suggests to Simonne they will take him in. Simonne thinks not only his brother needs him, his son also needs him. Hélène doesn't like it at all there are flowers from Marianne at Geert's funeral and that Nancy made a speech after all. She lets slip she has a new mobile. Simonne talks to Sam, but she only seems a bit tired. Yvette is packing for Winterlicht. She gives Sam a pendant she got from her grandmother to give to her grandchild. At first Eddy is very nervous to give a talk at the press-conference, but gradually he gains confidence.
Lowie is exhausted, but he still wants to spend every free moment with his father in hospital. Simonne tells Frank she still doesn't want Luc in their house. Paulien wants to prepare a party for Yvette. Peter doesn't know what to believe anymore. Marianne saying Hélène got rid of her mobile, or Hélène saying Marianne took it. One thing is sure. Hélène has a new one. Ann doesn't know if she should go to Marianne. She's still angry with her. Julia goes to the coast for a week to get some rest after the last few intense weeks. Sam proposes to Tim they prepare the nursery. Tim is surprised, but he would loves to shop for it. Olivia has her first school day and is nervous.
Lowie keeps talking to Luc, but there is still no response. They prepared a surprise-farewell-party for Yvette. She will miss them all. Marianne remembers some discrepancies in William's story about their mutual past. She's still convinced William and Henri are the same person. Jenny tells William she absolutely doesn't trust Hélène. And she thinks Marianne is innocent although William saw her with the knife in her hands. Emma brings Renee home from football practice. Stan notices her. Nancy totally forgot Eddy's birthday.
Lowie keeps talking to Luc in the hope he might hear or see something. He wants to learn about people in Luc's condition to give him the best care he can give him. Frank tells him he will take Luc in once he can leave the hospital. Lowie is very grateful and also thanks Simonne when he sees her in the street. Lowie passed his exams. Adil wants to arrange a party for him. It's very busy at the B&B now they are selling Withoeve products. Nancy complains about Hélène to Ann, but she doesn't want to hear anything about it. Nancy can't understand why Ann believes Hélène and not her mother. William and Marianne have a joint account and William wants Ann to regularly check if everything he does financially is above board. Emma and Stan ask Hélène to come to the football practice.
Luc finally seems to react a little and Lowie is very excited about it. Simonne doesn't talk to Frank now she knows he wants to take his brother in. She can't see how they could take care of Luc 24/7. Sam is frustrated she can't do the things she normally can, just because she's pregnant. She never wanted to be a mother in the first place and she just can't see herself now as a mother. Simonne tells her she will support her in every way and Tim won't never let her down either. Wendy asks for Sam, because she wants to do some rebuilding. Sam isn't there so Toon helps her. Femke is still very surprised how Peggy cooperates with her. Nancy has a nice surprise for Eddy to make up for forgetting his birthday. Marianne wants to appeal against the claim for damages from Geert and Hélène needs to know this as soon as possible. Marianne thinks this will draw her out.
Frank gives in to Simonne. It's probably to early to decide what to do with Luc anyway. He might not even come out of the hospital ever again. Hélène finally has contact with Henri again and tells him they might loose a great deal of money now Marianne is going to appeal against the claim for compensation. She finds it ever more a strain keeping up appearances. Especially to the children. Ann finally goes to Marianne. Marianne tries to give her side of the story, but Ann doesn't want to hear her lies anymore. She's angry and wants Marianne to tell the truth. Marianne is quite shocked how Ann reacts on her truth and that Ann refuses to believe her. Paulien notices how low Lena is feeling lately. She desperately wants a job, but constantly gets a no on her applications. Olivia loves her new field of study. She feels she finally does the right course. Tim and Sam are busy with the nursery. Rosa tells William they want to do up the rooms, but need money for it. She asks him if he wants to.
Julia is back. There is a lot of tension between her and Lowie because of Luc. Paulien goes with Lowie to his father, because Olivia is gone for a whole week and he needs a bit of support. Luc seems to respond a little quicker on Lowie. Marianne has another nightmare where she stabs Geert. This time she asks Peter to arrange a psychiatric examination like he suggested from the start. Nancy just can't understand why Ann keeps calling her mother a murderer, while she still believes Marianne couldn't kill anyone. Jenny notices Waldek is rather quiet and distant towards Rosa. Rosa thinks he's just a bit tired. Jenny and Leo go to Brugge. Now and again Peggy misses Renzo a bit. He assures her he's still very fond of her.
Julia tells Simonne it's best for all if Luc never wakes up. Simonne tells her he woke up last week when she was gone. Julia won't take care of him. She just can't. Nancy is angry with Ann and refuses to clean there. Marianne feels confused and scared. When William comes to visit her and tells her he wants to support her, she comes to the conclusion she must have killed Geert. William wants to know why Rosa wants him as a busyness partner. She wants what is best for the B&B, but Peter just wants revenge on Peggy. She wants to leave all the quarrels behind and concentrate on the B&B. William likes that idea. Leo sees them together at the bar. Simonne finally decides to visit Yvette at Winterlicht.
Lowie has a hangover from the guys-night-out yesterday. Paulien puts him to bed to have some extra rest. Frank and Lowie both visit Luc. Luc follows Lowie around the room with his eyes. Lowie helps Frank cook diner. Yvette and André are also invited. Simonne doesn't really look forward to see Yvette again and she doesn't understand why Frank misses her. At Emma's football match the whole family is present. At the end Hélène calls Henri. She can't go on like this and she wants to see him. Waldek still doesn't know about Rosa and Peggy's plans with William. Jenny thinks Rosa is flirting with William and Rosa finally tells her their plans to go against Peter and Femke. Marianne can't remember what happened that fatal day anymore. She must have killed Geert, but she probably repressed that thought.
Lowie and Frank are still impressed Luc followed Lowie around the room with his eyes yesterday. Paulien is still impressed by her visit to Luc and Lowie's devotion to him. She thinks Julia is very crude to him and wants to talk to her about it. Femke is confused when Peggy tells her she has to pay the bill to repair a blocked toilet in a room of the B&B. Bob, a man Eddy sold bad beer to a few years ago, tells everyone he's unreliable during his speech. Peter takes over and tells everyone what the beer is made off and where the raw materials come from. Sam has an accident with Renzo's taxi. William asks Rosa out for lunch to discuss some more about her proposal. Hélène gets a call when she's with Judith and suddenly has to visit her friend Rita. According to Marianne's psychiatrist she sometimes has doubts, but for the rest her answers are coherent.
Lowie tells Julia he's very disappointed in her. How can she let Luc down in his condition. Paulien also gives Julia her opinion. Julia can go on with her life, while Luc can only blink his eyes. Simonne talks to Franky about his operation. Frank doesn't want to hear about it. When Waldek comes by, Simonne needs to tell her story to someone. He has to promise not to tell anyone. William wants to be Rosa's business-partner. Peggy tells Toon to send the bill for the broken toilet to Peter. Sam feels Tim is suffocating her. He apologizes, but he just doesn't want her of their baby hurt. Hélène tells William/Henri that she doesn't want the money, she just wants to stay here with her family. William warns her if she doesn't cooperate, he will change his statement to the police, so she will go to jail in stead of Marianne. Or something might happen to Stan or Emma.
Rosa tells Jenny, Waldek hardly looks at her anymore and she realizes it's her own fault. Jenny encourages her to seduce him like she used to. Hélène is still upset after her date with William yesterday. When they see each other at Ann's house, he threatens her again. Ann learns Marianne confessed to the murder and feels rather strange about it. Frank absolutely doesn't want to talk about Franky with Simonne. Renzo apologizes to Sam, but she doesn't hold him responsible. When the doctor says she and her baby are all-right, she's very relieved. Lena sees a vacancy for a job in New York. She thinks this is what she was waiting for. Jens doesn't like the prospect she might move to America.
Lowie suddenly notices Luc is moving his fingers a little. He's very excited about it. Julia hasn't been in contact with Paulien since Paulien's outburst against her last Friday about Luc. Jens and Lena have a quarrel about her job application in New York. Jenny and Peggy want to help Rosa to give her relationship with Waldek a new boost. They decide to be somewhere else on Thursday, so Rosa has the place to herself. Veerle shows Simonne photo's from Sam's childhood. Wendy wants to go to Sam again to discuss her renovations, but meets Toon instead who just comes out from under the showers. Stan tries to attract Renee's attention at the football-practice. Emma and Stan see Hélène very concerned for them. She's even crying and they worry about her.
Luc is starting to react more and the doctor is very satisfied with his progress. If he can drink by himself, he can go to a sanatorium next week. Lowie is excited. He feels it as his duty to help his father, but isn't he taking too much on his self? Rosa prepares escargots and buys some sexy lingerie. Waldek is surprised, but also a bit taken back. Jens is moody. He doesn't want Paulien to meddle in his business. Ann and Mayra are cleaning themselves now Nancy doesn't work there anymore and have fun with it. Hélène can't take it anymore and wants to tell the whole story, but William threatens her. He stands at the sideline of Emma's football-match. Hélène understands he can get to her grandchildren at any time if she doesn't cooperate.
