True Confessions

Alan Landsburg's "True Confessions," is the first daytime anthology series since Matinee Theatre back in 1958. The title is a misnomer, misleading those expecting trashy, lurid stuff dished out by the old magazine.
The stories are all inspired by pieces that have appeared in True Confessions magazine over the past 70 years. Confessions magazine is published by Macfadden Women's Group. The daily half-hour dramatic anthology, with Bill Bixby as host, is syndicated to more than 90 markets nationwide by King World. Among its stars are June Allyson, Robert Culp, Mickey Rooney, Burgess Meredith, Dick Van Patten and Donald O'Connor.
