Xtreme Pro Wrestling

XPW (Xtreme Pro Wrestling) was an Independent Wrestling organization that had its’ headquarters in Pennsylvania and in Southern California. The Co-presidents and Co-owners of this organization were Rob Zicari and his wife Janet Romano. They had a weekly TV series that Rob would also appear on almost every week as Rob Black. This show focused on hardcore, extreme wrestling in the fashion of the old ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling). The organization was formed in 1999 in the Los Angeles, California area. In 2001 they began broadcasting a syndicated weekly 1-hour TV series. In 2002 Rob opened up his East coast operation in Philadelphia. The XPW broadcast only 1 Pay-per-view event in August 2003 titled “The Best of XPW’ which were highlights of the greatest matches in the XPW over the last 3 years. Because the 2 owners were indicted on obscenity charges in 2003 the show was cancelled. Some of the more well known personalities that appeared in the XPW included Chris Candido, Justin Credible, Juventud Guerrera, Sandman, Shane Douglas, Super Crazy, Terry Funk & Tracy Smothers.
