Next Episode of 100 Greatest Songs of the '80s is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
It was a time of Ronald Reagan and Rubik's Cube Miami Vice and Molly Ringwald, Jordache jeans and Joe Montana. But most of all, the 1980s were ten years of totally bitchin' music. Join VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the Eighties as we count down the coolest, gnarliest, most un-bogus songs of the decade that gave us hip-hop, hair metal and a funky little purple man named Prince.
The five-part program will feature classics from `80s luminaries like Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Public Enemy, Journey, Guns N' Roses and Duran Duran. Each tune's back story will be told through interviews with the musicians who created them, as well as the legendary artists they inspired.
The show features new, original interviews with an unprecedented number of the decades greatest stars including The Bangles, Daryl McDaniels (Run-DMC), Deborah Gibson, Styx, INXS, Jane Wiedlin (The Go Gos), Colin Hay (Men at Work), Katrina and the Waves, Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Bananarama, Joe Perry (Aerosmith), ABC, Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Toni Basil, Bonnie Tyler, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Devo, The B-52s and more.
In the grand tradition of VH1's previous "100 Greatest" specials, like 100 Greatest One-Hit Wonders and 100 Most Metal Moments, 100 Greatest Songs will also bring you up to date on what the decade's greatest stars are doing today, from U2 to the Eurythmics.
