Based on the award-winning Québec series of the same name, 19-2 follows the lives of patrol officers Ben Chartier and Nick Barron. Nick is a veteran on Montreal's urban police force and has just returned from a three-month leave following the traumatic shooting of his partner. On his first day back, he is unhappy to learn he has been partnered with Ben, who has just transferred from a small town to restart his life in the big city. Both men are good cops, who deeply care about the job, yet struggle to move beyond painful events in their past. Ben and Nick must attempt to put their differences aside as their lives further intertwine, both professionally and personally, and continue to take surprising and dramatic turns.
Nick and Ben are set on taking down Inspector Elise Roberge in order to avenge the brutal murder of Nick's sister and Ben's lover, Amelie.
With the investigation of Elise Roberge over, Nick and Ben struggle to move on with their lives. His faith in justice shaken, Ben volunteers for overtime-surveillance duty, while Nick looks for tether outside the job. Ben and Audrey deal with the consequences of the tragic car accident they were involved in. The squad finds themselves pulled into a burgeoning gang war.
Ben and Nick seek justice for a raped prostitute and encounter someone they both never thought they'd see again.
The squad escapes to a cottage for a weekend getaway, but too much drinking and close quarters have a detrimental effect. Meanwhile, Nick's concern for Ben increases after his partner gets a troublesome call from Internal Affairs; and Ben makes a bold decision that could put his career at risk.
In the aftermath of tragedy, the patrollers of 19 struggle to find their footing. Ben tries his best to keep the moral clarity he found at the cottage; Nick realizes what he wants in his life; Dulac loses control on the job; and Audrey meets a doctor.
Ben faces rising consequences from his actions on surveillance; Nick's new romance gets complicated and forces him to face his own past; Dulac crosses a line; and Audrey starts thinking about the future.
Ben's troubles become public and Nick faces a crisis with his mother.
