Return of the documentary. Michelle and Clive return to the Rotunda three years after the birth of their first child Zach, who passed away in the hospital after being born prematurely. They are hoping they can avoid early labour again and for the safe arrival of their second child. Elsewhere, Leonie and Dan anticipate the arrival of their twins, and Sara and Vishnu prepare to welcome their first child.
Roscommon couple Orlaith and James arrive at the Rotunda for an emergency procedure on their twins, who are at 16 weeks gestation. They are hoping to save the lives of both babies, who have been diagnosed with twin to twin transfusion syndrome. Meanwhile, Katie and Seamus use humour to help them through labour, Valerie and Jeovani await the arrival of their baby, and Caroline is in the hospital with her mother Vivien as her birthing partner.
Tara and Neill return to the Rotunda hoping for the safe arrival of their baby girl, after tragically suffering miscarriages in the past. Ryan and Patrick anxiously await the arrival of their first child. Ryan has a heart condition, and her pacemaker will need to be turned off for the delivery.
After multiple heart-breaking miscarriages, Jenny is in the Rotunda hoping for a good outcome with this pregnancy. Also in the hospital, it was 'love at first swipe' for young couple Michaela and Mark, who are taking a step into the unknown as they become parents for the first time. Elsewhere, Bulgarian couple Rose and Slavi arrive from Kildare just in time for the speedy arrival of their baby girl, while Joyce discovers she is about to become a mother to triplets.
Cathy and Darren learn that their baby, who is only 20 weeks in the womb, has a very serious congenital abnormality that if left untreated will possibly be fatal
We revisit some families to see what's happened since being at the Rotunda, including Sin Man and Ian, whose baby underwent surgery while still in the womb
