Raki Kiseki is a second-year middle school student who transfers to Star Harmony Academy to become an idol. However, when she uses an Aikatsu Pass she received from her big sister (an Aikatsu engineer), something mysterious happens. Lots of doors appeared before her, and when she opens them, she meets Aikatsu idols she never knew before, such as Yume Nijino (Aikatsu Stars!). Raki vows to design her own premium dress and perform in it on stage.
"Dream School Grand Prix", a special event where the five idol schools are going against each other, has been announced! Noeru Otoshiro who is now a part of Dream Academy will be representing DreAca as their rookie. Supported by her older sister Seira Otoshiro, though Noeru feels a little lost, she shall work towards her first stage!
At the final examination for television program's audition, Noeru has been put on the cliffside with Raki Kiseki as they compete for the position. But there is a person standing in their way・Akari Ōzora! Where will this match go, who wins and who loses...!? Not to mention, the representative idols of each school in the "Dream School Grand Prix" will be announced!
The long expected "Dream School Grand Prix" has begun! Noeru, along with her fellow DreAca representatives, Sora Kazesawa and Maria Himesato battle against the top stars on stage. What are these "Premium School Dresses" that Noeru and the others receive? Filling the dresses up with all their emotions and feelings, Noeru has made up her mind!
The shining Noeru has been chosen as DreAca's top representative thanks to her splendid work. Next, Star Harmony Academy, Four Star Academy, Neo Venus Ark and Starlight School will have their stages to decide their top representatives. And on those battle stages, exactly what type of idols will be the ones to release the sparks!?
"Next time, we'll meet on the same stage!"―thinking back on the promise she made with Akari, Noeru is feeling the pressure from the final stage. Seeing her anxiousness, Akari decides to help Noeru relax and change the mood. For Akari, it seems like she has an important message that she wants to deliver to Noeru.....?
The day for the "Dream School Grand Prix" finals has finally arrived. Holding all the different thoughts within their hearts, each school's top representing idol spread their wings on the gorgeous stage! For the crown of honor the winner will bear, will it radiate atop of the chosen idol!? The dreams received and continued by the idols will never end!
