Alphas is a science fiction drama focusing on a team that investigates people with supernatural abilities.
Nine months after Rosen revealed the existence of Alphas to the world his team has been blown apart. But, when two of their own are taken hostage our team must come back together to save their lives.
On the hunt for a killer with super-speed, our team realizes his search has lead him directly to them, with deadly consequences.
An investigation leads Harken and Hicks to go undercover in a secret, underground Alphas-only Fight Club where they meet "Kat", a wry, fast-talking, energetic fellow Alpha whose ability is that she's able to instantly memorize any physical or mental skill. Ultimately Kat is put in jeopardy by the bad guys and Harken and our team rescue her. In the end, Rosen considers inviting Kat to join their odd-ball family of quirky superheroes.
The Team investigates an Alpha-related crime spree leading to one of their own, who is in the midst of a dangerous emotional breakdown. Our Team races to stop them before they hurt themselves or someone else.
A powerful Alpha seems to have lost his mind and is attacking people at a hospital forcing, but as the team tracks him down they each begin to lose touch with reality.
Rosen enlists Alpha tech-whiz Skylar Adams to help to discover the purpose of an Alpha enhancing technology, but Rosen's zeal puts both Skylar and her daughter in grave danger.
Our team comes face to face with further evidence of Parish's evil agenda when a young Alpha reveals a deadly mind control ability which leads to a showdown between Rosen and Parish.
Now that Rosen has discovered the identity of the mole, he must face down the nearly impossible choice of what to do next. Meanwhile, the team takes on their individual family issues: Hicks' son Tyler comes for a surprise visit and John gets to meet Rachel's parents. And Kat gets her first case, tracking a mysterious new street drug that makes users temporarily invincible.
When Hicks turns defector and beginning working for Parish, Rosen and the team can only wonder: has Hicks truly turned, or is he playing a deeper game involving Dani? The truth comes out when the team uncovers Parish's plot to cause a massive, deadly blackout, and victory will come at a cost that none of them are prepared to pay.
How does one grieve and move on from a terrible loss? Everyone's process is different. Dani's shocking death at the hands of Parish leaves Rosen and the team grasping for lifelines. Presented with his toughest emotional challenge, Rosen struggles to find a way through grief, hiding behind his usual reserve.
It's Midnight Run, Alphas-style as Hicks and Kat transport a valuable Parish asset: a babbling, off-his-nuts memory sponge Alpha named Mitchell. Mitchell just might hold the strategic intel they need to stop Parish... if they can outrun and outwit Roland's seemingly indestructible Alpha "caretaker". Meanwhile, Rosen is on his own hunt for Parish' Achilles' heel, a weak point to strike at. But Senator's Burton sudden presence in the Alphas office threatens to expose Rosen and Nina's own Achilles' heel.
When Rosen kidnaps and interrogates an Alpha prisoner, the team wonders how far Rosen will go in seeking revenge for the death of his daughter. Meanwhile, Harken and Gary, desperately searching for Skylar, discover Parish has imprisoned her in an only Alphas form of captivity.
Separated from the team and haunted by vivid hallucinations of his daughter, Dani, an injured and increasingly desperate Doctor Rosen seeks a final confrontation with Alpha leader Stanton Parish. Meanwhile the team battles both the clock and their own mutual distrust to thwart Parish's deadly plans.
