We get to know all the enthusiasts in the small industrial village of Årdal who dream of promotion both for the village and their football team.
Truls is in poor shape and is required to undergo extra training. Hanne takes two players to icy Tyinfjellet to take pictures for the nude calendar.
First game of the season. Can Truls and Årdal revenge both penalty misses and losses when they return to the pitch where they lost promotion?
Jarle offers Truls a very special steam bath. The mothers will create a new song to pay tribute to all the players and the club in their hearts.

The end of the season is approaching and Ole Gunnar starts extra training for Truls to get him to shoot them up a division. He himself tries to find peace with Jarle in the mountains.
There is only one game left and it will determine whether Årdal gets promoted. Morten and Ole Gunnar take the players on clay pigeon shooting to think about something else, while mothers, children and youth gather to give all the support they can give to their heroes.
The big promotion final is finally here with over a thousand years in the stands. Will Truls once again become the scapegoat or can he become the hero who shoots all of Årdal up a division?
