American Dad! is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman for the "Animation Domination" lineup on Fox. American Dad! is the first television series to have its inception on Animation Domination.[4] The series premiere aired on February 6, 2005, following Super Bowl XXXIX, three months before the rest of the first season aired as part of the Animation Domination block, commencing on May 1, 2005.
The series focuses on the eccentric upper middle class Smith family in Northern Virginia and their three housemates: Father, husband, CIA Agent, Republican, and breadwinner Stan Smith; his wife and homemaker/housewife, Francine Smith; their college-aged daughter, Hayley Smith; and their high-school-aged son, Steve Smith. Outside of the Smith family, there are three additional main characters, including Hayley's boyfriend turned husband, Jeff Fischer; the family's man-in-a-goldfish-body pet, Klaus; and Roger, the alien, who is "full of masquerades, brazenness, and shocking antics" (source: en.wikipedia.org)
Stan, Francine and Roger concoct the perfect plan to rob a bank but agree never to do it. Peace reigns.
Hayley and Jeff take a staycation at a nearby luxury resort, while the CIA is forced to rebrand.
After a freak accident, Stan and Roger end up stuck together in the worst possible way. Klaus contends with an impostor.
The family's dream of climbing Mount Everest turns into a nightmare when Stan tries to save a buck and takes them to a different, much cheaper mountain.
The Smiths are overjoyed when the Langley Falls boardwalk reopens.
Steve feels isolated when he dislikes a new fast food restaurant popular among his friends; Stan and Francine attempt to return misdelivered mail.
After Hayley is deemed a big child by The Lady from The Hamster Rescue Society, she gets involved with two Roger personas who have a complicated family dynamic in an effort to prove that she is an adult woman.
After a nearly fatal interaction with one of Roger's personas, Steve and Stan work together to uncover the persona's mysterious past. Meanwhile, Jeff, Hayley and Francine explore new hobbies.
