Following the huge success of last year's inaugural series, Anam – Songs for Hearts & Minds returns to RTÉ this September with a host of extraordinary Irish and international music talent gracing intimate and historical stages around the country. Produced in partnership by Other Voices and the Office of Public Works, this brand new four-part series brings together a dynamic and diverse group of artists. Across four weeks, Anam – Songs for Hearts & Minds takes viewers on a sonic journey, blending inspiring live performances with the beauty of some of Ireland's most prestigious National Monuments and Heritage Properties.
Series two kicks off in Tipperary's Ormond Castle, with intimate performances by Muireann Bradley, musical polymath Uly and an exclusive solo set from Big Thief's Adrianne Lenker.
On this week's Anam Moncrieff brings pop perfection to the beautiful Portumna Castle. EFÉ shines bright on her Other Voices debut.
Anam returns, with a flawless debut by gifted songwriter Sarah Crean, trad prodigy Piaras Ó Lorcáin gives an emotional performance and chart-topping drill stars deliver an explosive set in the historic Pearse Museum.
Legendary fiddle player Martin Hayes joins the exceptional Kate Ellis for a special collaborative performance in Parke's Castle, Leitrim. MayKay will also bring us powerful performances from Claddagh Record signees Lemoncello and Kurdish/Syrian Singer Mohammad Syfkhan.
