Next Episode of Bailey's Bird is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Bailey, a pilot who runs a one-man sea-plane airline and his teen-age son Nick Bailey, share adventures in Southeast Asia. this series was filmed in Penang, Malaysia. Bailey's Bird, an Australian kiddie adventure series, was set on a fictitious tropical island.
Bailey's Bird featured Malaysian actors in both major and supporting roles, and one of the cast regulars was local actress Nor Azizah who played a researcher who often helped out the hero Bailey and his teenage son Alex.
Episodes of this series were half-hour.
The 26-part adventure series was made in 1977.
Bailey's Bird, disappointingly, is not a young lady of 36-24-36 dimensions, but a sleek amphibian aircraft which is operated by Bailey (Hu Pryce) as a charter service throughout South-East Asia.
Father and son Bailey are both, dropouts. Dad, an ex-fighter pilot, is a social dropout in his 40s, the son a dropout from one of Australia's leading boys' high schools.
The series is filmed in palm- fringed Penang. The simple plots and equally simple storylines involve the island's social aspects, religions, diversity, and its basic differences from the Western world. The series also attracts some of Australia's- top name actors in guest roles.
