The series sees home renovation experts Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas fulfilling their dream of restoring Motor City's iconic American neighborhoods, one house at a time. With help from their friend, lifetime Detroit resident and real estate expert Shea Hicks-Whitfield, the couple buys as many rundown and abandoned houses as they can on a single block and then renovates them to make them appealing, yet affordable enough for buyers within the community.
Keith and Evan take a risk with unconventional ideas for their next two decrepit houses on the block. After removing all the water damage and trash piles, they get to work designing a beachy, Hamptons-inspired cottage and a moody art deco bungalow.
Shea and her husband take on an exciting new venture as they buy a home on the renovation block. Keith and Evan use European architecture as inspiration to give their new property modern Parisian style and fix up a chic French country cottage nearby.
After an unexpected teardown sets their budget back, Keith and Evan refine their skills with a modern twist on a 1950s-inspired home and get funky with a big, bold, statement-making design. Then, Shea surprises the boys with some exciting news of her own.
Keith and Evan run into more stress than expected while renovating an old house into a peaceful zen bungalow. Then, the boys look to fix their budget woes by updating a duplex rental property and host the grand opening of their Nine Design storefront.
With the nightmare duplex sending Keith and Evan into a tailspin, the guys take on a new house to keep up momentum. Keith challenges himself with a minimalist design in the rundown bungalow while letting loose with pink decor in the Modern Dollhouse.
Cowboy hat in hand, Keith draws from his Texas roots to load up the Wild West house with cowhide, canyons and rustic wood galore. Then, a sagging floor in their French-inspired Vintage Circus home threatens to be more than even Keith and Evan can handle.
While scrambling to fix up the Vintage Circus house, Keith and Evan move down the block to create a Moroccan-inspired home with warm colors and intricate tile details. Then, Shea tasks the boys with their most-important project to date -- a new nursery!
Keith and Evan take on their most expensive project yet with a historical Federal-style home and try to hold true to its all-American classical vibe. Then, Evan worries that Keith's idea for an all black goth-inspired bungalow will scare buyers away.
Keith and Evan work to finish up a beautiful Federal-style house that could be the answer to their financial woes. Also, they pick up a stunning brick home with an awful smell, and Keith turns this nasty stench into a wildflower-filled garden paradise.
