Next Episode of BBC Sunday-Night Theatre is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Long-running British anthology series of televised plays that aired on Sunday nights on the BBC from 1950 until 1959. A total of 522 episodes of the series were produced but only a handful still survive today. Richard Burton, Sean Connery, Michael Caine, and Peter Cushing are some of the famous actors who appeared in productions of the series. As for material, it was mostly original British plays with occasional forays into the classics of Shaw and Shakespeare. A few classic American plays such as Our Town, The Petrified Forest, The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, and Arsenic and Old Lace also appeared on the bill of fare.
