In each episode of Bear's Mission, a different celebrity attempts to survive two days in the wild with Bear Grylls.
World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua steps outside the ring and his comfort zone as he attempts to survive two days in the wild with Bear Grylls. Anthony starts his journey dangling below a helicopter, as Bear whisks him off to the notorious Commando Ridge in Cornwall - one of the UK's most famous climbing faces and where the Royal Marines have trained since the Second World War. Anthony must traverse a 100ft rope 200ft above the sea, using only his balance and strength. Later, he has to face a 200ft abseil on his own. As the adventure nears its end, Bear lights a flare to attract a boat to collect them - but they will have to swim out to sea to meet it. Does the heavyweight champ have what it takes to go the distance and complete his mission with Bear?
Actor and comedian Rob Brydon steps out of the limelight and into the wild as he attempts to survive two days in the wilderness of Snowdonia with Bear Grylls. Rob and Bear travel by helicopter to a lake nestled between disused slate mines and mountains, before jumping 30 feet into the freezing water. Climbing out of the lake, the pair next abseil down a 200-foot deep sinkhole - a descent that would be challenging for even a seasoned climber. Bear then challenges Rob to set up a shelter on rocky grass in the skeleton of a former miner's cottage in an abandoned village. Finally after a cold night on the hillside, the duo travel by the light of burning torches deep inside an old mine before attempting to escape up a treacherous mine shaft. Does Rob have the energy to climb out or has he reached his limit?
