Behind Bars (2011)

Presented by Donal McIntyre, this documentary series explores the history of the Irish Prison service since it was established in 1854. It also examines the changing face of the modern Prison Service, and discusses the challenges facing the system in the future. The four episodes analyzes different topics and features reconstructions of notable events in Irish prisons and discussing the effects this had.
