With C.J. sidelined, the talented but undisciplined Zarique Nutter is trust into the spotlight.
After Zarique walks out on the team, C.J. steps up and provides leadership. Injury-prone senior Madoni Diarra makes progress with the knee rehabilitation.
Madani sees his first on-the-court action in two years. Senior transfer Aaron Estrada performs well and proves his worth to the team.
The team attends a national tournament in South Carolina and is challenged for the first time. Aaron replaces C.J. as the team's go-to offensive player.
The team is upset after Zarique and Aaron show up late to practice. Madani confronts Zarique, as C.J. and Coach Taylor butt heads.
With the team's confidence low, Coach Taylor holds a heated team meeting to discuss its issues. Madani airs his grievances, while C.J. confronts the coaching staff.
With college scouts in attendance to watch Madani, Zarique graciously gives him his starting spot. Madani visits Colgate University in hopes of clinching a scholarship offer.
While Zarique is suffering with academic trouble, the team plays its biggest rival, Blair Academy. Coach Taylor questions the effort of the entire team.
Zarique and his family have a heart-to-heart with Father Ed to discuss his future at St. Benedict's. C.J. is benched, and Aaron steps up his game.
While C.J. sits out the remainder of the season with an ankle injury, the pressure mounts as the team prepares for the state semifinals. Coach Taylor challenges the team to come together.
The team competes in the state championship in a rematch against their archrival, Blair Academy. Win or lose, they'll leave it all on the court.
