Part 1 of 10. At the height of the election campaign attorney general's chief of staff disappears swithout a trace. Her replacement Elin Hammar is thrown immediately into a web of lies and conspiracies when she tries to find out what happened. At the same time the xenophobic Security Party is moving toward success. In Uddevalla the party's local representative, Annika Nilsson, is preparing for a town-square meeting, despite her son's protests.
Part 2 of 10. The murder of Annika Nilsson has shaken the election campaign. Security Party utilizes her death to win the sympathies, something that violates the grieving daughter Sophia. Elin digs deeper into Sarah's disappearance. She senses that something is very wrong. Meanwhile an even greater danger lurks in the background.
Part 3 of 10. The cracks in the government grow when trying to deal with the terrorist threat from Veritas. Cracks that might explain what happened to Sarah. The more Elin digs, the more the tracks point back to Rosenbad. While looking for consolation online, Sofia ends up on the forums where the murder of her mother is blamed on immigration.
Part 4 of 10. There is frantic activity before the election campaign, the first debate between party leaders and Elin hardly has time to think about Sarah's disappearance. But she gets a call that changes everything. In Uddevalla Sofia occupies more and more of her time on the xenophobic forums. She adds the information about the terrorist attacks that she had received, in confidence, from Mattias. Something which attracts Veritas' attention. Sofia is becoming a serious problem.
Part 5 of 10. It begins to dawn on Simon the move to Stockholm was not the start that his sister had promised. She lied to him about where she was and what she was doing. At Rosenbad, Elin is shaken by the realization that her friend Max probably is involved in Sarah's disappearance. In an affluent suburb, a woman is brutally abducted by Veritas. What are their intentions?
Part 6 of 10. The murder of the social care manager, Pia Grandin Kimayo, turns the election campaign upside down. Now it is clear that Sweden has a Nazi terrorist cell. The Security Party still continues its election campaign as if nothing had happened. At the Justice Department, Elin is forced cooperate with the person she trusts the least of all, Rebekah Lundström. Sofia becomes closer Mattias when they go off to do away with Pia Grandin Kimayos body.
Part 7 of 10. With just days to go until the elections are all on edge; Elin is struggling to make sense of why Gunnar lied to her and cleared away evidence of Sarah's disappearance. The Security Party is trying to put a lid on Olle's dealings with Sofia. And at Veritas, Simon pulled into the action against his will when Gustav closes the cell closer to him. Is it just that Mattias identity has been exposed or does Gustav have other motives?
Part 8 of 10. In the middle of Gunnar's press conference, an announcement is made, in the form of a news flash that gets all the gathered journalists' phones beeping at once - Veritas has carried out an attack. But what is the goal? What's the plan? And how is it linked to the five-year old boy Simon guards?
Part 9 of 10. Trapped in Veritas' hideout with a badly injured Mattias, it begins to dawn on Sofia that both her brother and her son is missing. And the rest of the cell know more than they are telling her. Meanwhile, Elin gets help from an unexpected direction, but can she really trust this person?
Part 10 of 10. After the attack on the stock exchange and murder inside Rosenbad, it is a devastated Sweden who go to the polls. Both the Security Party and the Coalition are concerned about the election results. Elin and Gunnar are struggling to put the final pieces of the puzzle together and uncover the conspiracy. Meanwhile, Simon tries to return to the life he left behind in Uddevalla, but the past makes itself felt when Sophia comes back.
