While working in the bars of South Boston, Jack Maxwell learned one thing - sit down with a stranger and a couple of drinks, and the whole world opens up. In Booze Traveler, Maxwell sets out across the globe to find the world's most interesting beverages and the people who drink them. Over the course of 15 episodes, viewers will follow Maxwell as he travels to various locations around the world including Armenia, Belize, Lithuania, Mongolia and Nepal. At each stop, he connects with locals, immerses himself in regional activities, learns about the country's unique relationship with liquor and sometimes even participates in the alcohol-making process.
Jack wants to learn the true meaning of 'Pura Vida,' the Costa Rican secret to true happiness. To find his happy place, he'll dodge a stampede of bulls, come face-to-face with a deadly snake ...
There's a strange magic that lures pilgrims to the desert of the American Southwest and Jack Maxwell's going to find it. He'll fly the friendly skies at one of the largest hot air balloon parties in the world, drink with battle-scarred Rodeo clowns, get his mind blown at a wild art instillation and taste the hottest peppers to find the true spirit -- or spirits -- of the Southwest.
From a cocktail cooled with glacier ice to an ancient drink with Chile's first people, Jack discovers how the locals live, play and drink in a land at the end of the world.
Jack heads to the Great Lakes to relive his favorite childhood summer adventures. He motors through the Silver Lake sand dunes, meets world champion lumberjacks, makes fudge on Mackinac Island and finds a boozy summer camp.
Jack heads to the Pacific Northwest to follow in the footsteps of great explorers. He drinks beers in a hot tub boat, takes a seaplane to microdistilleries on the San Juan Islands and tries a drink made with bacteria and yeast.
