The adventures of an average family; a boy, a girl, a dog, a cat, a mouse and ..err, a piece of cheese. What could possibly go wrong?
The kids watch a scary old horror movie where a character speaks a certain ancient-language phrase meant to curse the victims to the shadow realm. That phrase? Greb-nefual e-neg! The movie scares some of the kids, but Girl calls it all a bunch of hocus-pocus and speaks the phrase aloud herself. Nothing happens. But one by one, the siblings start disappearing, leaving only a superstitious Boy.
Everybody gets jealous when Boy bakes amazing cookies that he only shares with his new pen pal, Gretchen. They band together and pretend to be Gretchen, writing letters to Boy and asking him to send more cookies, which they then intercept and eat for themselves. However, when Boy asks to meet Gretchen in person, Girl, Dog, Cat, Mouse and Cheese come up with a plan to impersonate her and steal Boy's cookie recipe once and for all!
When Cheese accidentally begins writing her new fantasy novel inside Boy's diary, Boy is inspired to live out the life of the novel's great hero! By applying the story to his life, Boy is soon one of the cool kids, making Girl jealous. When she sees Cheese's novel-writing is the cause, Girl helps her write the next chapter to take Boy down a peg or two.
When the boys and girls get sick of having to share the bathroom, they split it into two! The girls' side becomes one big party with no rules, but on the boys' side Dog makes many rules! Boy and Mouse hate it, but they don't want to hurt Dog's feelings. Girl tries to lure them over to the girls' side with all the things they love to play with. Eventually Boy and Mouse sneak over to the girls' side to join in the fun - until Dog confronts them.
The family is going on a canoe trip, and Boy and Girl are each allowed to bring a friend. For Girl, the choice is easy - she invites her BFF. But Boy realizes he doesn't really have any friends outside his own family. The rest of the siblings set out to help Boy find a friend for the canoe trip - but can he overcome his shyness?
Mum and Dad go out, leaving Boy in charge of the house. However, busy having fun, his siblings totally ignore Boy's rules. Boy calls his old nanny, Miss Molly, who dotes on Boy but treats the others like servants behind his back. When Boy finally realizes, he helps the others to get rid of nasty old Miss Molly forever!
While riding their scooters at the park, the bickering kids meet the Smiths. A brother and sister who don't seem to argue like our gang does - in fact, the two Smiths are super-supportive of each other! When they start pushing the other kids around, Boy, Girl, Dog, Cat, Mouse and Cheese challenge the Smiths to a race around the park! But our heroes have one problem - Cat doesn't know how to ride a scooter! The kids take turns teaching her and, when race day comes, Cat will really need to kick it into high gear if she wants to help the family beat those smug Smiths!
Girl enters a cosplay costume contest to win a trophy and meet her favourite TV star, but needs somebody to wear the back end of her enormous costume. Boy is horrified at dressing as the character's bum, but he doesn't want to let his sister down. Can he put aside his embarrassment to help Girl win the competition?
With Boy's new help-for-hire business booming, he overworks his unpaid employee, Dog, without realizing. Dog is too loyal to say no, but he's miserable, especially when his next job is walking some mean cats. Girl sets out to teach Dog a lesson about standing up for himself, pretending to lose the cats to make Dog realize he should have said no to Boy, which will teach him to do just that in the future! But when the cats really go missing, they frantically set out to find them before Boy's business is ruined!
Mouse wants the other kids to stop being lazy and achieve some goals - in the form of breaking world records. With Mouse's relentless coaching, the family soon gets carried away. Can Mouse get things back to normal before anyone gets hurt?
When one of Mouse's inventions accidentally sticks Cat's discarded fur to Boy's face, his new 'beard' suddenly makes him the most popular kid in school! Seeing her chance to stop her enemy Lila Bird from becoming class president, Girl convinces Boy to run for president too. It looks like Boy might win, until another accident causes Cat's whole body to get stuck to his face. Can he win the election with such a strange new beard?
The Girls and the Boys compete to get to the top of Bear Mountain, using very different styles of camping. But when the legendary bear appears, they have to team up to survive.
Mouse buys a videogame that is supposed to teach the family teamwork. When they end up bickering as they play, Mouse creates a robot that turns off the game if they argue. However, a robot malfunction places the whole family in danger. To survive they will have to finish the videogame without arguing - unless they can think of a way to make bickering help.
Mum and Dad take the TV away until the kids learn to behave, and the siblings realise they need some rules. Mouse is the judge and decides how to settle family arguments, putting wrongdoers into a homemade jail. However, when Mouse also behaves badly, he puts himself in jail and the family realise they are all locked in!
Girl is failing science class, so Mouse offers to help her learn. However, Girl decides it will be easier to borrow one of his inventions and cheat instead. Everything is going to plan until the borrowed invention goes wrong and causes a scientific calamity!
When Mouse accidentally saves Cheese's life from a toppling tree, a grateful Cheese becomes determined to thank him by doing everything she can for him. But Cheese is soon bothering Mouse all the time and her endless caring is becoming too much, causing Boy and Girl to hatch a plan to even things out.
Dog decides to show the family that he can be as tough as the wolves they are watching on TV. He joins a gang of street dogs and soon becomes leader of the pack. Meanwhile, the rest of the kids worry when Dog doesn't come home and go out looking for him. However, they find that he is now too cool to be part of the 'old' family - until he is forced to make a choice between loyalty to the pack and loyalty to his best friend Boy.
The family have been telling their deepest, darkest secrets to Cat for years. But when Cat finds one of Mouse's inventions that gives her intelligence and speech, she threatens to tell all their secrets if they don't do everything she asks. The kids must decide between living under their feline pharaoh's thumb or confessing their secrets to each other.
Cheese and Dog are teasing each other about the things they like to do. However, trying out each other's interests causes them to realise what they've been missing out on.
When Mouse brings home an old ice cream truck, the kids start their own smoothie business. However, the town's lovable ice cream man, Uncle Bub, isn't happy about the competition.

Since she doesn't have a birthday, Cheese demands a big party every year. However, this year her siblings couldn't be bothered to organise it and it's a complete flop. How can the kids make it up to Cheese?
When the kids won't stop being loud, Mouse uses an invention that causes the others to swap voices so they can hear how irritating they sound. At first the kids have fun with each other's voices, using them to playing tricks - but how will Boy get through school when all he can say is ‘meow'?

When Boy, Girl and Cheese learn that their animal siblings have a tough time going through life with their unwieldy tails, they want to understand what it's like. So Mouse builds them mechanical tails to wear, and the three soon learn just how hard it is to do simple tasks. However, they come to master their tails well enough to attend the Curling Tail festival, where all tailed animals celebrate themselves. But when the kids turn their tails to full power to fit in better, they go haywire! They're now in danger of ruining the festival and being discovered as frauds!
Suddenly feeling too old to be collecting toys, Boy gives up his bobbleheads and decides to do the things that grown-ups do instead. The others desperately try to turn Boy back into his slightly more interesting self by taking him to meet the owner of the world's biggest collection of bobble heads, where Boy must choose between what he thinks is cool and what he loves.
Mouse is tested on his experiment to create the perfect family and is sure he will fail! However, his siblings convince him to hire actors to play perfect versions of themselves.
Cat decides that she wants to become a superhero, and the other kids decide to help her follow her dream. Girl makes her a cool costume and Mouse creates some superhero gadgets, now all Cat has to do is find somebody to save!
The kids accidentally destroy a beloved family photo and decide to make it up to Mom and Dad by hiring a photographer to take a new one.
Stevie Smith challenges Boy in the mini-golf tournament. However, as they practice, they actually become fast friends and neglect their training to hang out! When the contest arrives, it is revealed Stevie was only pretending to be Boy's friend to keep him from practicing! But maybe Boy has a trick of his own up his sleeve...
Sick of being overlooked by the family because of his small size, Mouse builds an invention to make him grow. However, the bigger he gets, the more unintentionally destructive he becomes, and now the family needs to shrink him back to normal before he accidentally destroys them all!
After a bad haircut, Dog tries wearing a fancy tuxedo until his fur grows back. Unfortunately, his initial reaction to wearing clothes causes him and the gang to accidentally destroy the rich neighbour lady's fence. But while the others are forced to rebuild it, the neighbour lady gives tuxedo-clad Dog a pass, thinking someone of his style and class is too good for manual labor. Resentment grows as the gang breaks their backs in the hot sun while Dog lives the good life with the fancy lady. How long can this go on?
Mouse has built a rocket ship, and fame-seeker Cheese and excitable Dog decide they want to be the first ones to land on Mars. It would be way too dangerous to actually send these two into space, so Mouse stages a fake Mars landing with the help of the others. But when our two astronauts capture the 'aliens', everyone ends up stranded far far away from home. Like, a 15 minute walk at least.
Lila has a brand new vlog that goes viral in school. Girl doesn't like seeing her nasty rival have such success and so begins filming her own vlog about her family's real life.
Boy's nose makes a weird whistling sound when he is asleep, which is no big deal until it is captured on video and goes viral - but is this new-found popularity a good thing?
The kids' mean neighbour, Wanda, has started enforcing a dogs-on-leashes law. Boy, Girl, Cheese and Mouse each come up with ideas about how to show that Dog is special and doesn't need a leash.
The kids rally to help when Dog admits he is colour blind. Mouse makes him some colour-correction glasses and Dog is blown away by colour, inspiring him to become an artist.
Mouse is bored of always doing the same things the same way, so Girl suggests he starts thinking outside the box and live his life differently.
Girl decides to write her school project about Cat as she is so mysterious and it would nice to know more about her. The gang decides to help, and soon everyone is following Cat from a distance.
When Cat coughs up a magic hairball, the siblings use it to make all their decisions for them. However, when the hairball leads them to give away all their possessions, they realise it might not be so magical after all.
One day, the kids answer the door to find Wedgie, Cheese's missing piece! Wedgie is happy to have finally found her family, but she is so cute that Cheese gets jealous. Things only get worse when Wedgie starts accusing Cheese of being mean to her.
Girl borrows Mouse's latest invention to entertain her siblings. It's all fun and games until the innocuous blob threatens to engulf the whole family.
When Lady Burlington's precious jewels are stolen, the kids believe that Cat was the unwitting thief and didn't know that she was stealing. They try to put things right by returning the valuables and teaching Cat the error of her ways. However, with Lady Burlington's security guard searching for the burglar, the kids find their task way trickier than anticipated.
The kids are asked to watch their neighbour's pet hamster and are given strict instructions not to let it out of its cage. However, Mouse doesn't believe any animal should live in a cage.
When the siblings try to make an awesome Christmas surprise for their parents, things go wrong every step of the way.
With the rest of the gang sick, Mouse builds himself his own bubble to avoid contacting germs but the rest of the family wants one too that it eventually leads to them getting one and considering using it as part of their everyday route that they don't want to leave their bubbles ever to avoid getting sick again.
