Comedy legend Jennifer Saunders and her best pal, top actress Patricia Potter, take to the road on a humdinger of a trip. Joined by veteran antiquers Phillip Serrell and Mark Stacey, they shop in Berkshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire before heading for an auction in Greenwich, London.

Jennifer and Phil detour to hear about Fred Karno, the man credited with inventing slapstick comedy. Meanwhile, Patricia and Mark learn how a surgeon from Reading used his incredible sense of smell to successfully treat soldiers injured in World War One.

And, Phil gets custard pied - what is not to love?

Legends of stage and screen Charles Dance and Geraldine James join antiques experts Natasha Raskin and Will Axon on this road trip romp around Wiltshire.

Charles finds a pair of Edwardian silver vases he hopes will prove profitable at an auction in Essex. Geraldine, however, bumps into a chap in the street with a 19th-century French empire secretaire. It costs her a small fortune - will the gamble pay off?

A diversion from the shops sees Charles end up in the cockpit of a very old helicopter, while Geraldine learns how a small part of Swindon dating back 170 years influenced the creation of the modern NHS.

Two luvvies from the world of stage and TV, Ruth Madoc and Su Pollard, best known for their appearances in sitcom Hi-De-Hi, are antique hunting with Phil Serrell and Raj Bisram. Setting off from the Welsh border town of Monmouth, they head for auction in Congleton, Cheshire.
