Celebrity Mastermind is a British television quiz show broadcast by BBC television. The show is a spin-off of the long running quiz show Mastermind, with the exception that all the contestants are celebrities. As with the main show, John Humphrys is the host and question-master.
In the first of this series, actress Crissy Rock, double gold medal-winning Paralympian Hannah Cockroft, BBC entertainment correspondent Lizo Mzimba and crime writer Val McDermid answer questions on the artist Toulouse-Lautrec, boy band McFly, the George Smiley novels of John le Carre and playwright Christopher Marlowe.
Asian Network DJ Bobby Friction, Professor Alice Roberts, actor Ewen MacIntosh from The Office and comedian Simon Evans put themselves in the hot seat for their favourite charity. Specialist subjects include cult TV series Twin Peaks, the Moomin novels, Shackleton and the Endurance expedition, and pop star Prince.
Actor and comedian Adam Buxton, children's TV presenter Chris Johnson, actor Neil Pearson and Newsround presenter Nelufar Hedayat try their luck answering questions on David Bowie in the 1970s, the Harry Potter books, the films of Monty Python, and English language publishing in Paris.
Radio 2 DJ Ken Bruce, CBeebies presenter Sid Sloane, musician Paul Young and comedian Holly Walsh take their place in the infamous black chair to answer questions on subjects as diverse as Liverpool FC, the films of Johnny Depp, the Jeeves novels of PG Wodehouse, and badgers.

Food critic Charles Campion, Emmerdale actor Kurtis Stacey, BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty and six-times gold medal winning Paralympian Darren Kenny answer questions on The Wind in the Willows, the Ryder Cup, artist Wassily Kandinsky and the films of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Comedian Steve Punt, Casualty actor Michael Obiora, presenter Clemency Burton-Hill and BBC weatherman John Hammond answer questions on Status Quo, Tony Hancock, Arsenal FC and Downton Abbey.
Presenter Nick Hancock, T'Pau singer Carol Decker, TV presenter Michael Underwood and rugby player-turned-commentator Austin Healey try their luck answering questions on James Bond, Everton FC, Tina Turner and The Great Gatsby.
Bucks Fizz star Cheryl Baker, Holby City actor Guy Henry, Stargazing Live astronomer Mark Thompson and Archers actor Tim Bentinck face the questions of John Humphrys for the last in the current series. Thespecialist subjects include the films of Peter O'Toole, AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, the music of James Taylor and the history of coffee.
