The presenter begins a series of voyages.
The presenter begins a series of voyages by setting sail on a cruise to the Canary Islands aboard the Regal Princess. This floating palace carries up to 3,600 passengers and boasts numerous bars, restaurants and pools, and a top-deck glass-bottomed sea walk, perched 128 feet above the waves. First stop is the island of Gran Canaria.
As her cruise ship leaves the Canaries behind, Susan enjoys sailing north across the Atlantic Ocean to the beautiful island of Madeira. Docking in the capital Funchal, she disembarks with her fellow guests and heads for an adventurous cable car ride up the mountain, a real challenge as Susan hates heights.
Susan sets sail from the bustling city of Barcelona, boarding one of the biggest cruise ships in the world: Harmony of the Seas. It will be an action-packed cruise in the western Mediterranean. Before the ship departs, there's time for a quick tour of Barcelona and Susan's arrival coincides with the annual La Mercè Festival.
The presenter's next stop is the port of Civitavecchia, where she signs up for an excursion to the Italian capital of Rome. Susan and her friends from the ship embark on a guided walking tour around the city - taking in all the major sights, including the Spanish Steps and the Roman Forum.
Susan crosses the Pond and starts her adventure in the cruising capital of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After boarding the Eurodam, she sails south to the Caribbean, where the first stop is the private island of Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas. After soaking up the sun, sea and stunning views, Susan joins her fellow cruisers on a glass-bottomed boat tour of a lagoon.
The presenter continues her Caribbean and Central American cruise, and after enjoying the Caribbean islands, her ship sails west to Panama and the wonder of the Panama Canal - one of Susan's bucket-list destinations.
