Buddy and Conker are joined by Taye, a young street artist who wants to make a surprise birthday meal for his dad, who loves crispy chicken.
Together, they make the crispiest, most delicious fried chicken, served up with homemade slaw, potato wedges and corn on the cob in what must be the best birthday present ever! In return for Buddy's help, Taye shares some of his artistic skills and shows him how to create his very own bubble-writing signature.
Buddy and Conker are joined by amazing Irish dancer and Kidz Bop British Sign Language interpreter Maisie! She needs Buddy's help to make something tasty for her dancer friends to top them up after their energetic rehearsals.
The only food that can jump as high as Maisie can are pancakes! So, Buddy makes bright green spinach pancakes stacked between layers of ham and an oozy cheese sauce - delicious and sure to knock the socks off her dancer friends! She can have it ready to go before dance class and simply pop it in the oven when she gets home. Maisie teaches Buddy to fingerspell his name in British Sign Language, and he tries to walk in Maisie's very fast footsteps as he has a go at Irish dancing.
Get your dancing shoes ready because Buddy and Conker get a call from Jaylen, a young salsa dancer who doesn't stop moving! His mum is a professional salsa dancer, and Jaylen has learned all his moves from her, as he loves connecting with their Colombian roots through dancing. But there's one thing that Jaylen loves even more... eggs! He asks Buddy to teach him an egg-cellent meal that he can make for his family.
Buddy knows that if Jaylen loves dancing salsa, then he has to get him making salsa too, so he comes up with a cracking egg tortilla wrap filled with guacamole and zingy salsa. They learn to make their own tortilla dough in minutes, an omelette that sticks to the tortilla in the pan and colourful tomato salsa and creamy guacamole – cracking!
Jaylen's keen to get Buddy learning his kind of salsa too, so Buddy learns the basics of posture and footwork with the help of Jaylen… and some colourful socks!
Buddy and Conker are joined in their cooking den by Alex, a figure skater who wants a meal that will warm him and his friend up after training on the ice! Alex likes meat but his friend is vegetarian, so he needs Buddy's help with something that will keep them both happy…
Buddy knows that burgers are a winner as they're super-flexible, so he creates the ultimate burger for Alex that's half beef mince and half lentils that his friend can swap for veggie mince and lentils. Using lentils also means you use less meat which is good for you AND the planet – WIN, WIN!
In return, Alex takes Buddy to train on the ice, teaching him the skills to skate forwards, backwards, stop and build up some speed - and how to style it out when you fall over! It turns out that the key to good form is making lemons with your feet – so there's more in common with the kitchen than Buddy thought!
Buddy and Conker get a call for help from Jervis in Northern Ireland, a brilliant basketball player who wants a slam-dunk meal for his mum to take to work.
She's always doing things for the family, so he wants to pop something in her lunch box to make her smile!
Buddy knows the power of a tasty meal so teaches Jervis to make mini quiches that will fit easily in her packed lunch. They make the pastry from scratch and, because they're homemade, choose whatever fillings Jervis and his mum would like best!
Join them as they take time out from the kitchen to shoot some hoops and Buddy learns the essential skills of basketball; controlling the ball, dribbling, defending and shooting. SCOOOORE!
Buddy and Conker invite BMXer Lakey to their kitchen den to cook a meal that will super-charge her energy to race. Ranked at an amazing number 10 in the British Championships Girls under 10s, Lakey is a whizz on the racetrack.
Buddy shows her how to make healthy chicken breasts, served with fresh pasta to give them loads of energy, cutting out their own shapes in a cool hack to personalise their pasta and bring it all together with a delicious homemade pesto with added peas – it's a Chicken PEA-sto pasta!
In a handbrake turn, they leave the kitchen and head to the BMX racetrack where Lakey teaches Buddy how to set off properly at the start of a race, how to squash and pop on the track and to corner properly to shave off time.
