Coronation Street Icons will consist of four episodes narrated by Sally Lindsay, each on a different cobbles legend.The four that have been chosen are Ken Barlow, Sally Metcalfe, Liz McDonald and Roy Cropper, with respective actors William Roache, Sally Dynevor, Beverley Callard and David Neilson recalling stories alongside archive footage.

This is a celebration of all sides of Sally's character, including the drama, the comedy and the gloriously snobby. From her first appearance as Kevin Webster's new girlfriend and settling in as a regular street resident to becoming the icon that she is now. Everything from the way she embraced Rosie's bid for superstardom to her time campaigning to become local councillor, Sally and her co-stars reveal what they love most about upwardly mobile Sally.
In the programme Sally Dynevor reveals how, when growing up, her and her family were fans of Coronation Street and how it was always her dream to be on ‘Corrie'.
Memorable moments and classic storylines involving the Street's eccentric cafe owner over the last 25 years, including David Neilson's thoughts on playing such a recognised character. The programme reveals David's first-ever appearance on TV in a 1976 episode of police show Z Cars and he reflects on how, at the age of 46, he was preparing to give up acting altogether when he got what he thought was going to be a small part in Coronation Street. With contributions from Julie Hesmondhalgh, Alison King, Stephanie Cole, William Roache and Sally Dynevor.

The show features interviews with co-stars past and present as well as classic moments from the archives – it also includes an honest and emotional interview with Malcolm Hebden, the man behind Norris.
Coronation Street Icons: Norris Cole celebrates the most memorable moments and classic storylines of the Street's nosey newsagent from over the last 26 years – the programme reveals that Malcolm's first-ever appearance on Coronation Street was actually way back in 1974, when he landed a role as a love interest for Mavis Riley.
