The format of Come Dine with Me is adapted as three couples compete against one another by throwing dinner parties that are then scored by each of the other couples.
First to host in Surrey are competitive American Laura and her English husband James. Laura's hoping to treat her guests to a taste of home by throwing a Tex Mex themed evening. Second couple Sarah and Dan have a special treat in store for their guests that nobody expects. Retired estates manager Edward and his teacher wife Carol are accustomed to hosting dinner parties, so aren't concerned about the competition. With rapping, mono-brows, secret revelations, not to mention some fine food, the competition is wide open with the grand up for grabs.
Red and his partner Bozey kick off the competition in South Wales with a Welsh inspired menu. Day two sees estate agents 'Princess' Trish and her partner Alan cook a glamorous fine dining menu. Alan is a real romantic and he tells his guests just how far he will go to show his love for Trish revealing his tattoos of devotion. Finally, first time hosts fiancÚs Marc and Dan get the chance to entertain with a musical themed feast. They win over their guests with Marc's nana's egg sauce, passed down through generations, but can Marc and Dan walk away with the grand?
Bike restorer Ian and his Lithuanian-born fiancÚe Loretta kick off the competition in Stockport with dishes inspired by their Indian and Lithuanian heritage. Day two sees Gemma and Emily, AKA 'Gemily', attempt to woo their guests with their Moroccan themed menu. Finally it's Tim and Luan's chance to show the other couples how it should be done as they offer up a taste of their favourite dishes. But will Luan's bog roll entertainment go down well? And who will be feeling flush with the ú1000 come the end of the night?
In Bromley, Jo and her discerning foodie partner Alex kick off proceedings with a fine dining menu but the guests are not impressed. Day two sees Ryan and Julie go back to their roots cooking up an Americana menu but the food fails to wow, with Michelle comparing the main course to vomit! Finally it's the turn of Michelle and confident Craig who give their guests a taste of the Caribbean. But who will be walking away with the ú1000 prize?
Young-at-heart romantics Willie and Julie kick off this competition from the Cambridge area with their hearty but simple menu. Day two sees healthy food options from sporty pair Jeavon and Steve, but they're not to everyone's taste. Finally it's Italian Rica's turn with the help of Lynne to cook a hearty high-end meal, but the night kicks off with an awkward air and with their boar main course proving a risky choice, will their chance of winning the grand slip away from them?
In Berkshire, beauty therapist Emma and her boyfriend Sean kick off the week with an OMG night of acronyms, pet names and fine food. Joining them are bickering husband and wife Mel and Tony, with Tony's nostrils experiencing Emma's waxing skills first hand. Watching on in horror are Sarb and his wife Jasbir. Day two sees the experienced partnership of Jasbir and Sarb attempt to wow their guests with a night of authentic Indian food and Bollywood dancing. For the second night in a row, Sean comes under pressure to pop the marriage question to Emma. Finally, it's Mel and Tony's turn to host with a menu filled with traditional British classics. Will their cooking and hosting skills be enough to win them the thousand pounds? Or will their good-natured squabbling scupper their chances?
In Stoke-on-Trent, first up are Rob and Rich who are out to impress with fine dining cuisine. Also coming to dinner is 28-stone Eddie 'The Beast' Hall - Britain's strongest man - with wife Alex. The third couple are sport-loving Simon and wife Lauren who despite being highly competitive, find it difficult to fault the first night's fancy fayre. The next night Eddie reveals his identity, sending Simon into hero-worship mode and spurring him to reveal his nickname which was also 'The Beast' and that he too had won awards for weight lifting. With Alex putting on a fine 'Beast Wellington' the stage is set for the final night where Simon in particular is on a mission to prove himself. He knows he might not be able to out- beast 'The Beast' in strength but Simon does have a few tricks up his sleeve, such as his ability to recite Shakespeare. But by the end of the evening, will Lauren's cooking and Simon's quirky hosting be enough to wrestle the grand away from the others?
In Leeds, giggle monsters Gemma and Ryan kick off the competition with a menu designed to show off their fun side. But will it be up to the high standards of couple Jonathan and Keith? And will music-loving Nigel and Yvonne stop singing long enough to notice the food? Day two sees Jonathan and Keith put on a classic 1970s menu, but will it be too traditional for the younger guests? Finally, it's the turn of lyric-tastic Nigel and Yvonne to try and grab the grand - but will their Yorkshire twist hit a bum note?
In Swansea, married couple Leanne and Senol start things off with a feast of Turkish food, which hits the spot for fun-loving Paul and partner Verity - but it's Paul's love of Hawaiian shirts that doesn't go down too well with Catrin and Josh, who also take a disliking to the host's meaty main course. Day two sees Catrin and Josh attempt some Welsh fine dining, but the complicated dessert fails to live up to its billing. Finally Paul and Verity get a turn to impress with their version of good pub grub. Will their food be enough to grab them a grand? And will the couples finally get to the bottom of Senol and Leanne's relationship?
In East Kent, dinner party veterans Mike and Helenor kick off the competition with a sophisticated menu including wild garlic from the local churchyard and a risky bonus ingredient of sweetbread. Loved-up couple Rob and Jade are impressed with the posh nosh, but married childhood sweethearts Caroline and Tony can't get Mike's resemblance to a famous comedian out of their minds. Day two sees Rob and Jade put together a Thai-inspired menu, but Mike and Helenor are suspicious of Rob's story of why he loves Thai food. Band frontman Rob tries to claw things back with a good old sing song. Finally, it's the turn of visually impaired Caroline and her easy-going husband Tony. Will the made-from-scratch food be enough to overthrow their rivals and bag them a grand?
