An engrossing mystery unfolds set in the remote northwest of Ireland, Crá, follows Garda Conall Ó Súilleabháin as he searches for justice in the most personal of cases—the murder of his own mother, Sabine, whose body is discovered 15 years after her disappearance. Forbidden from joining the investigation, Conall partners with a determined young journalist, Ciara-Kate, who is using her true-crime podcast to expose the village's deepest secrets. As they unravel the truth, they must confront a community bound by silence and its own moral codes.
Life in a small Donegal town is utterly changed with the discovery of the body of a local woman who went missing 15 years previously. Conall, the local Garda, is forbidden from working the case but this isn't going to stop him.
Sabine's funeral takes place and her son, Conall, and her husband, Art, are the main murder suspects. Ciara Kate is convinced that Sabine was having an affair and decides to investigate.
While the official investigation puts Conall firmly in the frame for his mother's murder, Conall follows a lead involving his college friends who were present the night Sabine was killed.
The community gather to watch the crime reconstruction on national television. The programme unearths a new prime suspect, a close friend of Art and Sabine, and a pillar of the community.
Conall is held hostage by an armed Ray, the prime suspect. But he claims he is being framed by the police. Who will Conall believe? And will they both make it out alive?
In the aftermath of the siege, the narrative is that Ray is guilty. But neither Ciara-Kate or Conall are convinced. They continue their investigations and the truth about what happened to Sabine is finally uncovered.
