not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Kelli Finglass, the DCC director, has a mandate to have a squad of 36, making this a super competitive year. New to the mix of judges this year are two celebrities -- former DCC and Dancing with the Stars winner Melissa Rycroft and platinum-selling country music recording artist Neil McCoy. With 55 high caliber new girls making it to finals, it's intimidating for the 30 veterans as they must fight to keep their place on the team. Unfortunately for a few vets, it's the end of the line. For the super talented 43 who make training camp, the exhilaration is short lived as the reality of the most demanding dance audition in professional sports becomes real. Season nine brings everything you love -- girls reaching for their dreams and the emotional, drama-ridden journey to make them come true. The payoff is becoming part of the best team in the business -- the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
The new Cowboys Stadium plays host to the preliminary auditions selecting the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad for the 2010-2011 season, and emotions run high for thousands of hopefuls.
The rookie candidates go up against returning veterans in a series of dance combinations, panel interviews and solo performances before the final training camp invitees are announced.
A few rookies struggle as training camp gets underway, and the candidates get the opportunity to meet their idols and mentors.
The pressure is on in the second week of training camp, the candidates try on their uniforms for the first time, and Kelli and Judy prepare to make the first cuts.
It's DCC makeover day for the rookies, three candidates get called into Kelli's office for face-to-face meetings, and more training camp cuts are looming.
During a photo shoot for rookies and veterans, no one is safe from being scrutinized, and eight dancers get called into the office.
Fear, nerves, and heartbreak set in after field rehearsals when Kelli announces which candidates she wants to see in her office.
With the 2010-2011 squad finally set, the DCC take to the turf of Cowboys Stadium for their first field performance in front of 85,000 ecstatic fans.
