Buying the coffee beans direct from the farmers means Todd must encounter treacherous terrain, danger and sometimes, even opposition from entrenched middlemen. Todd invents a revolutionary new brewing device but to keep up with demand he must head to Japan, a notoriously eccentric place to do business. In Tokyo and Osaka, Todd has his work cut out for him closing his cross-cultural deal.
Todd marks the 20th anniversary of his company, La Colombe, and 10 years of marriage to singer Lauren Hart. Heading to Zambia to find the perfect anniversary roast, he ends up on an adventure that's not for the faint of heart.
