Date My Dad is a family dramedy that tells the story of a single dad raising three daughters. Ricky Cooper had the perfect life. A former professional baseball player, he was married to Isabella, the love of his life. Ricky's world comes crashing down when Isabella passes away leaving him to raise three daughters alone. "Date My Dad" picks up three years later while Ricky is raising the girls with the help of his live-in mother-in-law, Rosa. On his 40th birthday, Ricky experiences a different type of crisis when Rosa unexpectedly announces that she is moving. He becomes panic-stricken knowing he will have to tackle everything from make-up to boys to driving on his own. His daughters - Mirabel (15), Elisa (12) and Gigi (8) - have also been busy. They have taken matters into their own hands by making it their mission to get their dad back in the game… the dating game, that is. Ricky is in for a roller coaster ride as he is pushed into the dating world for the first time in 20 years while also being the best dad he can be to his girls.
On Ricky Cooper's 40th birthday, his mother-in-law decides to move out leaving him to play cook, maid, and mother. Meanwhile, his three daughters decide to get him back into the dating game by opening a lawn-front dating service disguised as a lemonade stand.
Ricky starts seeing Katie, a woman he believes he's interested in. Turns out, he enjoys playing baseball with her three sons more than the actual dates. Meanwhile, Ricky's youngest, Gigi tries out for the lead role in the school play.
When cleaning supplies and groceries become scarce, Ricky must do the shopping for the entire house for the first time. Ricky's middle-daughter Elisa is left trying to balance school work and maintain the house.
The girls decide It's time to give Ricky a complete lifestyle makeover and even hire the perfect girlfriend for him - behind his back.; Mirabel discovers she's more than just a pretty face by treating the school nerd with respect.
Mirabel gets her sisters rethinking their wardrobes when she's stopped by Ricky trying to leave the house wearing an inappropriate outfit; Ricky's brother and sister-in-law ambush him with a double date.
Rosa notices that the Cooper family is absent of their Mexican heritage and teaches them all to Salsa at her senior's bingo night; Gigi struggles to hide her intelligence so she can fit in with friends at her school.
When a boy starts to admire Elisa, the popular girl makes her the laughing stock of the 6th grade; Mirabel quickly understands the downsides of being an Instagram celebrity and Rosa finds her calling as the elementary school's counselor.
Ricky falls for Stephanie's friend which ignites jealousy in Stephanie; Gigi feels left out.
The Cooper clan takes a camping trip to revisit the old cabin they used to frequent with Ricky's late wife and the girl's mother, Isabella; Ricky helps Mirabel come to terms with her memories of her mother.
With Elisa's graduation, Ricky comforts Elisa in her sadness that her mother isn't there for the major events in her life. And the tension that's been building between Stephanie and Ricky finally comes to a head.
