When the Alaskan Red King Crab fishery shuts down for the first time in 25 years, Bering Sea veteran Captain Sig Hansen is forced to look for opportunities elsewhere. Deciding to risk it all, he sets his sights on a promising new fishing ground where King Crab is an invasive species: his ancestral home of Norway.
In the wake of his most difficult season ever, Captain Sig Hansen attempts to build a new fishing operation in Norway, where King Crab are invasive. When daughter and co-captain Mandy Hansen joins as partner, she begins taking matters into her own hands.
Fishing for Kings, Sig discovers a surprise in his gear. Seeing opportunity, he entrusts the 193-foot Stalbas to Jake while he and Mandy pursue a market for a new species of crab. But as Jake's fortunes turn for the better, he starts making his own deals.
Sig and Mandy go all in on a big change in strategy; when Captain Jake pulls up a king crab jackpot, he must choose whether to honor Sig's orders or go out on his own with millions on the line.
Sig and Mandy roll the dice on convincing old-world seafood barons to buy into an unfamiliar crab species but when Jake chases Russian kings far to the North, the Hansens must add a new boat to their Norwegian fleet for a chance at tanking the biomass.
Sig searches for secrets from a fishing legend; when Jake locates relatives, he puts together pieces of his family's past and finds unexpected answers about his own late father; Clark must prove he can tank the crab on his own.
After guaranteeing a troll crab delivery backed by king crab, Sig must make good on his deal before the clock runs out. Jake makes peace with his late father's passing while Mandy finds she has an eye for traditional Norwegian cuisine.
Sig makes an ambitious deal for 25 tons of live king crab. As Mandy hits the docks to buy a new boat, Sig and Jake scramble to the Russian line to find the migrating hoard. But when Jake gets a line in his own prop, he must find a diver to save his shaft.
Mandy captains a new boat decked out with technology to help Clark get to on the crab. Sig and Jake steam to the north to fill their tanks with Russian Kings.
As Captain Jake Anderson plans for his next move as a professional fisherman, he and his longtime mentor Sig Hansen open a door into his own legacy and discover how a lifetime of overcoming obstacles puts him and his family on the road to success.
