Next Episode of Den osannolika mördaren is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Den osannolika mördaren is a fictional interpretation of how Stig Engström, the graphic designer who was named as the probable murderer of Sweden's prime minister Olof Palme, managed to elude justice right up to his death through a combination of audacity, luck and a perplexed police force. What do we know about Stig Engström? How could the police let him get away, despite being on his track? The murder was not planned well, Engström did everything wrong from the beginning and almost no one believed his lies about what he actually did during that fateful night 1986 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Shortly after Palme's assassination, Engström begins his quest for attention as a crime-scene witness. Divisions among police hinder the investigation.
Realizing Engström's story doesn't add up, Irvell starts turning up the heat. Decades after the murder, a journalist starts reinvestigating the case.
Irvell's steady methods turn up more evidence to implicate Engström, but Holmér's stubborn tunnel vision leads investigators into a dead end.
Police railroad another suspect. Desperate for more attention, Engström continues to speak out. Thomas tries to connect Engström to the gun.
His mental health deteriorating, Engström's life falls to pieces. Years later, a prosecutor revisits the case and makes a momentous announcement.
