The German-born psychologist Cathrin Blake (Désirée Nosbusch) has lived in Galway since her studies, her love for Liam Blake (Barry O'Connor), a detective inspector, kept her in Ireland. Cathrin specialized in criminal psychology and worked with her husband in the Galway police force - until ten years ago, Liam suddenly disappeared without a trace.
