The disappearance of Rosalie, the mayor's daughter, forces Surprenant to cancel his vacation.
Rosalie is found murdered on the beach in what appears to be a set-up.
Félix and Édouard find themselves in the middle of an armed altercation between Cormier and Roméo.
Gingras orders the arrest of Lapierre, although Surprenant finds this hasty.
Incredulous at Lapierre's arrest, Surprenant continues the investigation alone.
Geneviève and Surprenant discover a theft of medicine which puts them on a trail.
